Q - How do Worldly Women
travel groups differ from other travel groups?
A -
First of all, Worldly Women groups are small, averaging around 15-20 women per trip. An escort from Drolett Travel usually accompanies each group and handles all the details before and during the trip. We strive for charming well located hotels near major sights, shopping and cafes. Typically, Wordly Eomen travelers enjoy a more leisurely pace and have a little extra time built in for shopping and other things that women love to do. A Worldly Women small group can also "spread out" on the coach while we tour, laughing, sharing stories and eating chocolate along the way.
Q - What if I don't have somone to go with me?
A - We make every effort to put other "singles" in touch with each other so they can decide for themselves whether or not they wish to share accommodations. A single supplement is always available if you wish to have your own spae or if there is no one available with whom to share a room during the trip.
Q - I'm a little hestant to join up with a group of women I don't know ...
A - There are usually a number of women in each group who do not know any of the other travelers in advance. To help with this concern, we get the group together well ahead of time to make introductions and talk about the trip. Within a very short time, it will seem like we've known each other a long time.
Q - Is there any "free" time in Worldly Women trips?
A - Each day usually has some amount of free time for shopping or just poking around. Although daily activities include plenty of guided sightseeing, we allow for time to just sit and "be" or take a stroll around, absorbing the ambience and local life of the area we are in. One of the rasons that we don't include every meal in an itinerary is tht women travelers say they love just looking around and trying out little cafes and restaurants on their own.
Q - How do I know how much money to take on a trip, what to pack, etc?
A - Well before a trip departs, we get women travelers together to discuss all these things. In addition to introductions, we review the itinerary, answer questions, offer tips for packing, air travel and dress. Also, we are available most days in the office for phone calls and e-mails if questions come up before the meeting.
